The Loadlink plugin for WooCommerce includes built-in tools for debugging and logging. These tools help identify issues with rate calculation, API connectivity, and product setup.
This article explains how to access and use the available debugging features.
Enable Debug Logging #
- Go to WooCommerce → Status → Logs
- In the dropdown, look for entries that start with loadlink- followed by a date
- Select a log file and click View
These logs contain recent API requests and responses. They can be used to check whether rates are being returned and if any errors are present.
Testing the API #
- Go to Loadlink → Settings
- Use the Test API with Real Data tool
- Enter a sample destination address
- Click Test API with Real Data
- Review the returned results
This helps confirm whether the API is functioning correctly based on the current product and store configuration.
Notices Page #
The plugin includes a Notices section that flags products missing key information.
To access:
- Go to Loadlink → Notices
- Review any listed products
- Update missing weight, dimensions, or packaging type
All products must have valid weight and dimensions to return rates.
Common Logging Use Cases #
Use the logs to:
- Verify if the API returned a valid quote
- Check for data mismatches or missing fields
- Identify connection errors with the Loadlink platform
- Share log details with Loadlink support if further help is needed
Logs are automatically rotated and stored in the WooCommerce logging system.
