Loadlink Connect supports two main user roles: Shippers and Carriers. Each role provides access to different features, and users can operate as either or both roles using a single account.
This article outlines what each role can do and how access works.
Shipper #
Shippers are users who post freight jobs and receive quotes from verified Carriers.
Permissions:
- Post and manage load listings
- View active and past loads in the dashboard
- Receive quotes and direct contact from Carriers
- Update account and notification settings
Shipper access is free and does not require a subscription.
Carrier #
Carriers are transport providers who view listed loads and respond with quotes.
Permissions:
- Browse available loads
- Contact Shippers directly
- Submit quotes for active listings
- Manage company details and service areas
Free Carrier accounts have limited access to load listings. To unlock full access, Carriers can upgrade to a Premium subscription.
Premium Carrier benefits:
- View unlimited loads
- Access all Shipper contact details
- Use enhanced filtering tools
Using Both Roles #
One Loadlink Connect account can be used as both a Shipper and a Carrier. There is no need to register twice.
To access both:
- Register as either a Shipper or Carrier
- Use the same account to post loads or quote on jobs
- Upgrade to Premium if more Carrier access is required
