# Testing Rates at Checkout

After installing the Loadlink plugin and configuring your shipping zones, it's important to test the checkout process to ensure that live rates are appearing correctly for customers.

This article outlines how to run basic tests to verify rate calculations using the Parcel Freight integration in WooCommerce.

### **Before You Begin**

Make sure the following are correctly set up:

- Loadlink plugin is installed and activated
- API credentials have been entered and saved
- Products have weight and dimensions set in the Shipping tab
- Shipping zones include Loadlink Live Rates as a method
- Your store address is set in **WooCommerce → Settings → General**

### **Steps to Test Rates**

1. Visit your store as a regular user (incognito or logged out)
2. Add a product to the cart
3. Go to the **Cart** or **Checkout** page
4. Enter a valid Australian shipping address
5. Wait for the Loadlink rates to appear under shipping options

Rates should display based on the product’s dimensions, weight, and the destination postcode.

### **Testing With the Plugin Tool**

You can also use the built-in testing tool:

1. Go to **Loadlink → Settings** in the WordPress dashboard
2. Scroll to **Test API with Real Data**
3. Enter a test destination address
4. Click **Test API with Real Data**
5. Review the returned rates to ensure accuracy

This tool helps confirm that your API connection and product data are working correctly without needing to place a live order.

### **What to Do If Rates Are Missing**

If no rates appear:

- Check that all products in the cart have weight and dimensions
- Confirm your API credentials are entered correctly
- Review your shipping zone settings
- Verify that the entered address is within a supported area
- Check the **Notices** page for missing data warnings
- Review the log files under **WooCommerce → Status → Logs**
