# Rates Not Appearing at Checkout

When Parcel Freight rates do not appear at checkout, it usually indicates a configuration issue with your Shopify store, product data, or Loadlink settings. This article outlines the most common causes and how to resolve them.

### **Checklist: What to Review First**

- Loadlink app is installed and connected with valid API credentials
- Carrier-calculated shipping is enabled in your Shopify plan
- Loadlink Live Rates is added to your store’s shipping profile
- Each product in the cart has valid weight and dimensions
- The shipping address entered at checkout is complete and within Australia
- The store’s origin address is correctly set in **Settings → Locations**

---

### **Step-by-Step Troubleshooting**

**1. Check Product Data**
Go to **Products → All Products** and confirm that each item includes:

- Weight (kg)
- Dimensions: length, width, height (cm)

Products without this data will prevent rate calculation.

**2. Review Shipping Profile Configuration**
Go to **Settings → Shipping and Delivery → Shipping Profiles** and confirm:

- The correct products are assigned to the profile
- A shipping zone that includes Australia is configured
- **Loadlink Live Rates** is added as a shipping method under that zone

**3. Test With a Known Valid Address**
Try entering a common metro address (e.g. Melbourne CBD) during checkout to confirm whether the issue is related to a specific region.

**4. Reconfirm API Credentials**
Go to the Loadlink app in your Shopify admin and verify:

- API Key
- API Secret
- User ID
Ensure credentials are saved and match your Parcel Freight account.

**5. Use Test Mode (If Available)**
Use the test function in the Loadlink app to simulate a rate request. This helps confirm whether rates are being returned successfully.

**6. Disable Conflicting Apps**
If other apps modify checkout or shipping logic, disable them temporarily and test again. Some third-party apps may interfere with rate display.

### **If the Issue Persists**

Contact Loadlink support with the following:

- Your Shopify store URL
- A sample product name or URL
- The shipping address used during testing
- Screenshot of the checkout screen
- Any error messages or unexpected behaviour
