# How to Add a Load

The **Add Load** feature in Loadlink Connect allows Shippers to post freight jobs directly to the marketplace. This listing will be visible to verified Carriers, who can then review the job and respond with a quote.

This article outlines how to correctly fill out the Add Load form and best practices for getting fast, accurate responses.

### **Where to Find the Add Load Form**

1. Log in to your Loadlink Connect account
2. From the dashboard, select **Add Load** in the navigation menu
3. Complete the form with the required information
4. Click **Submit** to publish the load

Your listing will go live immediately and appear in your **Manage Loads** section.

### **Required Fields**

These fields must be completed for the load to be accepted:

- **Short Description**
A brief summary of the load (max 100 characters)
Example: "Pallet of building supplies to regional NSW"
- **Pickup Suburb**
Enter the suburb where the freight will be collected
- **Dropoff Suburb**
Enter the destination suburb for delivery
- **Availability**
Select when the freight is ready (e.g. ASAP or a specific date)
- **Category**
Choose the type of freight (e.g. Machinery, Vehicle, Livestock)
- **Truck Type**
Select the preferred transport type (e.g. Flatbed, Tautliner, etc.)
- **Contact Name, Phone Number, Email Address**
These details are shared with Carriers so they can reach out with quotes or questions

### **Optional but Recommended Fields**

While not mandatory, adding this information can improve response times:

- **Dimensions (Length, Width, Height in mm)**
Helps Carriers assess space and equipment requirements
- **Weight (kg)**
Important for accurate quoting and load planning
- **Quantity**
Total number of items or pallets being shipped
- **Image Upload**
Upload a clear photo of the load (JPG or PNG, max 2MB)
*Listings with images often receive faster and more accurate responses*

### **Tips for Better Listings**

- Be specific in the description
- Use accurate location names and check spelling
- If flexibility exists in pickup or dropoff times, mention it in the load notes
- Use standard industry terms for load categories and vehicle types

### **After Submission**

Once submitted:

- Your load will appear in the **Manage Loads** section
- Verified Carriers can begin quoting on the job
- You’ll receive email notifications as responses come in
